The Flint Hills Riders Club is pleased to announce its Fall 2008 trail ride, October 10th through 12th, called “Saddle Up”. This will be cordially hosted at the Cowboy Way Ranch and Vacation Resort, near Westmoreland, KS. It will be set on a beautiful 1,000 + acres of rolling prairie, and over 100 established campsites. There will be 3 trails available, a beginner’s, an intermediate, and a more experienced rider’s trail with a wrangler guide for every one!
If you are looking for a weekend getaway not so far away, this is the spot for you! You can make it as eventful or as peaceful as you like it. Join the ride or just camp and relax. This will be fun for the entire family.
The best part is that we will all be coming together and contributing to some good causes! We simply ask participants to bring a 6 pack of Boost nutritional supplement that we can donate then to the American Cancer Society for its cancer patients. Additionally, your ride fee of $45 will cover our costs of wrangler and campsite fees plus great food, as well as allow donations to be sent to the Multiple Sclerosis Research Center and Chapman Disaster Relief. We have been fortunate to have sponsorship behind us of some terrific local businesses who believe like us that fellowship in the saddle and contributing to charitable causes in our society are a blessed thing that go hand in hand. For that, we will have a fun auction with some terrific items such as saddle pads, art work, livestock, and much more to come!
Agenda will be Friday October 10th, set up camp. Dinner on your own.
Saturday October 11th, breakfast provided, then ride. Lunch on your own-saddle bag.
Saturday night-banquet style catered dinner and live auction fun, plus music entertainment.
Sunday October 12th, breakfast provided, then short ride. Lunch provided, then break camp and head home.
We hope you join us in this weekend of fun and friends! For more information, contact:
